weareadriftinaseaofnothingness
knowing neither from-whence-we-came
or to-where-we-go,
wheeling aimlessly about
In an existential
ocean, lost and afraid.
Our ship of
understanding flails on an endless sea,
And land is far
away, if even is at all —
A vain promise of
resolution unseen
Guides us on the
waters of uncertainty.

These are waters
which for all we know
Form a lake of
equidistant proportions,
Equivalent truths
equally inaccessible
In this brief human
existence.

For this moment we
hope to see
A direction free of
dissonance,
Which guides our
ship to safest shores
Free of angst and
violence.

we faith-build on
liquid sea to spite absurdity —
this we must do or
we are not.

Life is faith — a
faith that we are alive, will live,
And will die all too
soon.
Our structures will
be long forgotten,
Lying like Atlantean
ruins.

Lying in an endless
expanse

Of wasted potential
knowledge
And unknowing.

Our abstractions
Are more concrete
Than we can
comprehend.
